Little Venice
Location: Little Venice (650 sq ft)
Client: Private
Project Type: Full Service – Spatial Planning, Interior Design & Styling, Design Management
Situated on the corner of Warwick Avenue, in a beautiful white stucco period building in the heart of Little Venice, (through recommendation of our Maida Vale project), this client required a complete service for the refurbishment of a first floor one-bedroom apartment.
The initial objective on this refurbishment was to improve the spatial configuration. We removed the dividing wall between the existing Kitchen and Living room creating a bright and airy open plan sociable space.
The intent for the interior design was to create a warm and comfortable environment providing continuity from one space to another. With an area of 650 sq. ft, it was important to maximise on storage throughout. To create an impact, we opted for a navy wood grained shaker style kitchen, paired with brass accessories, and layered with timeless finishes such as the Carrara marble. Throughout, we added further character with contrasting painted panelling providing an impress backdrop to the freestanding furniture and soft furnishings. It was important to ensure the selection of lighting throughout complimented one another in style and texture. We opted for a strong grey printed rug in contrast to the light oak engineered wood flooring. An abundance of layered accessories on the tailor-made shelving. To complete the apartment, the bespoke upholstery throughout was kept neutral and was complimented with contrasting rich tones of dark stained and oak and olive greens.
Having come full circle on this full refurbishment, the client was completely blown away by the entire transformation of this property. What started off as an empty and tired house, turned into a light, warm and considered designed home.
